Summary Research Portfolio
Pursuing: Chemical Engineer (Polymer Interface Characterization Engineer)
Announcement Number: MML-642-26-12942897-DH
This position is in a tangential field to that of my PhD studies. Its duties are,
(1) The planning and execution of resonant soft X-ray scattering (RSoXS) and X-ray absorption spectroscopy (NEXAFS) experiments.
(2) The preparation of model samples, executing forward simulations for data interpretation, and contributing to open-source software and data pipeline development.
Over the last 5 years, I planned and executed a series of polymer interface characterization experiments. I used a force-based technique to probe polymer coatings, including polyethylene glycol (PEG) and zwitterionic coatings. I have used simulations, open-source software and small-angle scattering of polymer solutions to plan, analyze and interpret my experimental data.
I know the polymer science literature
I have contributed to applications of brush layers
I have a strong grasp of the statistical mechanics of soft matter
Using small-angle scattering measurements, my team planned new experiments
I know the small-angle scattering techniques
I learned polymer simulation techniques to guide interpretation of experimental results
I understand open-source software development and use
For more details, see my resumé
Thus, I would excel in this role and I would be overjoyed to discuss this more
